Beginner Entomology Projects

Beginning Level - Getting Started in Entomology (4H ENM 10)4H ENM 10
This publication is for ages 8-10 that are interested in learning more about insects.  The 4-H'ers will learn the parts of an insect, the names of some common insects, the life cycles of some insects, and where common insects can be found.  Four-H'ers will also collect insects and learn a simple way to display them. View the PDF.

This project guide is for 4-H members ages 9-11, and is the first in the Entomology "Insectaganza of Excitement" series.  In Creepy Crawlies 4-H'ers will learn; the different parts of an insect's body, the different mouth types, how to collect insects, how insects communicate, about their vision, insects habitats, insect control methods, about the digestive system of insects, using insects as a source of food, and about the movement of insects.
